Individual Preventive Training

With preventive training, we help you strengthen the core stabiliser muscles, preserve functional and bilateral muscle balance, as well as maintain optimal physical fitness based on your goals. Each exercise session is also comprised of joint mobility and coordination training.


Highly Specialised Training

Our kinesiology gym is located inside the injury treatment clinic with its own diagnostics department, department of physical therapy, and department of regeneration. Therefore, it provides exceptional conditions for high-quality work in the field of preventive training with a multidisciplinary team.

With preventive training, we help you strengthen the core stabiliser muscles, preserve functional and bilateral muscle balance, as well as maintain optimal physical fitness based on your goals and desires. Each exercise session is also comprised of joint mobility and coordination training.

At Medicofit Clinic we perform a diagnostic test before starting preventive training, to accurately gain insight into your body’s functioning, musculoskeletal specifics and risk areas.

Many patients at Medicofit Clinic choose individual preventive training after completing the injury treatment programme, in 2021, after finishing physical therapy, more than 2/3 of patients chose to stay with the Medicofit team at least once per week in order to carry out individual preventive training.


Why Preventive Care?

Nowadays, almost everyone leads an abnormal lifestyle in terms of physically stressing your body.

Sitting for longer periods of time and having a constrained posture have a bigger negative impact on the spine compared to hard physical work, i.e. overloading the body.

A sitting position puts more pressure on the intervertebral discs than a standing position, however, it all depends on the sitting technique. When sitting properly, the pressure on the lumbar intervertebral discs increases by 10–30% of the total body weight; when sitting and slouching with a curved spine, additional pressure can increase by total extra body weight, i.e. from additional 100 to 175% of our body weight.

In a sitting position, spinal degeneration can arise 2 to 3 times faster than under normal circumstances. his fact is for demonstration purposes only, to portray that leading an optimal lifestyle no longer exists or exists on rare occasions. Therefore, the personal training programmes always have to focus on prevention, at least to some extent.
