Medicofit
As part of preventive training, we strengthen the stabilising muscles of the core, maintain functional and bilateral muscle balance, and maintain optimal physical fitness according to your goals, with each training unit also including joint mobility and coordination training.
Because our kinesiology gym is located within our clinic for treatment of injuries, which has its own diagnostic, physiotherapy and regeneration department, we have unique conditions for high-quality work in the preventive training segment with the participation of a multidisciplinary team.
With our preventive training, we strengthen the stabilising muscles of the core, maintain functional and bilateral muscle balance, and maintain optimal physical fitness according to your goals and wishes, with each training unit also including joint mobility and coordination training.
Before starting preventive training at Medicofit clinic, we perform a diagnostic examination, where we determine exactly how your body functions, your musculoskeletal specifications, and your risk areas.
Many patients at Medicofit clinic decide to participate in individualised preventive training after completing an injury treatment programme.
More than one third of patients continue to participate in long-term personal training with us after successfully completing rehabilitation for an injury or disease.

Today, almost all of us have an abnormal lifestyle in terms of stress on our bodies.
Sitting for long periods of time and adopting forced postures have a stronger negative impact on our spine than heavy physical work or overloading the body due to movement.
The sitting position of the body is more stressful for the intervertebral discs than the standing position, but to what extent depends on the sitting technique.
If we sit correctly, the load on the intervertebral discs of the lumbar spine is 10 to 30% greater than our total body weight; if we sit in a hunched position with a curved spine, the additional load can equal the additional weight of the entire body, i.e. between an additional 100 to 175% of our body weight.
In a sitting position, spinal degeneration can occur 2 to 3 times faster than it would under normal circumstances.
We are only stating this fact as a demonstration that the optimal lifestyle no longer exists or is rare, which means that personal training programmes must always be preventive in nature, at least to some extent.
We achieve changes in the body in a safe way, build for the long term, and improve fitness and health.
